Firefly is both a very elegant and stylish yacht, by the well know Dutch Shipyard, Mulder. Firefly's exterior was designed by Frank Laupman from Omega architects, while her naval architecture is by Vripack Naval Architects and her interior design by Vickers Studio which is inspired by the sea. She is a true gentleman's yacht; solid and classy, allowing for maximum comfort and security even during long voyages.
With a long waterline and a slender hull, the yacht will ensure outstanding seakeeping capacities in rough seas, enhancing comfort for owner and guests alike. Firefly has a professional crew of 4, ensuring the very best service and experience onboard.
Four spacious cabins on board will accommodate up to eight guests. The exceptional features of the master suite will be heightened by its natural light from the large windows, and contemporary design encompassing light colours and soft materials, perfectly suited to displaying the rippling steel artwork commissioned by sculptor Rado Kirov. The full beam design allows the volume and privacy in the owners' area to be maximized with 24 square meters of floor space, and the stateroom incorporates a study, sitting area, ensuite with bath and walk in closet. The VIP cabin in the forward section of the lower deck incorporates a large bed, desk and ensuite, with the two twin cabins being able to convert into doubles making Firefly very flexible for any charterer requirements. All ensuites are marble lined with quality fittings.
On the main deck, an impressive saloon, dining room and bar area covering over 40 square meters is located aft of the wheelhouse, galley and dayhead. Floor to ceiling windows and mirrored window frames provide panoramic views and filling it of natural light. The decor continues from the lower deck, with Vickers Study combining calming satin finished American walnut and white oak with intricate details like bespoke backlit dark blue resin art and illuminated rare coral that is viewed through the glass centre of the dining table, surfaced in faux skate skin. A stunning large piece of ethically sourced natural blue coral, one of the last available, is seperating the saloon and dining areas.
The spacious aft deck offers guests the option of al fresco dining when in port or at anchor. The swim platform, which incorporates a large sea terrace, can lower into the sea to act as a substantial swimming ladder or be raised up to offer effortless access ashore.
The volumous flybridge/sun deck includes generous seating on both sides with large tables, and a beautiful featured bar incorporating a BBQ. This entire deck is designed for relaxation and entertaining, providing plenty of shaded area for al fresco seating and dining possibilities.
Up forward, Firefly has a private seating area on the bow which invites to a tranquil hiding spot to sit and contemplate the horizon, a perfect backdrop for relaxing, sunbathing and socialising.
Firefly is fitted with two low rpm derived Caterpillar C18 engines each delivering 1150hp, which gives the yacht exceptional fuel efficiency and ultra low noise level figures. Comfortably reaching 3600nm while traveling at 9 knots, Firefly will reach a top speed of 17 knots and has a noise level of a mere 53 decibels while underway. Coupled with a three-ton freshwater tank and water maker with a capacity of 166 litres per hour, Firefly easily allows the self-sufficiency required for long voyages.
